Create IT, a leading program provider of engaging enrichment programs for children, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated instructors to join our team. We are looking for individuals passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering creativity in elementary school settings (JK-Grade 7, ages 5-12) across the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, North York, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Scarborough, and Aurora.

Program Locations:

Our programs are primarily located within the region bounded by Major Mackenzie Drive to Lawrence Avenue and Bathurst Street to Warden Avenue.

About Create IT:

We are committed to delivering exceptional learning experiences that cultivate a fun, uplifting, and memorable environment for both students and instructors. This position offers a valuable opportunity for university and college students seeking part-time employment that aligns with their academic schedules. Candidates with a career interest in education or working with children are strongly encouraged to apply.

Availability Requirements:

• Instructors must be available to teach a minimum of four lunchtime or after-school programs per week, maintaining consistent days and times for up to eight consecutive weeks.
• Program hours typically range from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (specific times vary by school).

Typical Program Hours: 

• Lunchtime: Approx. 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• After-School: Approx. 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
• Compensation is provided for a minimum of 2.25 hours per one-hour class.
• Increased availability is advantageous.

Program sessions: 

• Fall - October -December  (8-10 weeks)
• Winter: January – March (8-10 weeks)
• Spring: April – Mid-June (8-10 weeks)
• Summer: Summer Camp and Workshops (8-10 weeks)
• We will schedule program classes based on your availability, ensuring consistency throughout each session.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A genuine passion for working with children.
• A strong desire to inspire creativity and innovative thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

• Leading or assisting in the delivery of engaging, interactive program activities.
• Fostering a fun, inclusive, and creative learning environment for all students.
• Inspiring curiosity and innovative thinking through hands-on projects.
• Managing group dynamics effectively.
• Setting up, organizing, and managing program materials and equipment.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of students during program hours.
